Minimum Requirements for Admission of
DEGREE COURSES
No candidate shall be admitted to the following courses of studies unless he/she has required the minimum qualification prescribed here under:-
(1) B.A.Degree Course: (Under the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Oriental Studies and Fine Arts) Pass in the Pre-Degree examination of this University, 10+2 or an examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto.
(2) B.Sc Degree Course: Pass in the Pre-Degree examination of this University, 10+2 or an examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto with the main subject they propose to offer for the B.Sc. Course as one of the subjects.
Candidates for the B.Sc. (Home Science) Degree Course shall be required to have passed the Pre-Degree Examination of this University or an Examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto, with essentials of Home Science or Physics or Chemistry as one of the main subjects.
Candidates for the B.Sc. (Home Science) Degree Course shall be required to have passed the Pre-Degree Examination of this University or an Examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto, with essentials of Home Science or Physics or Chemistry as one of the main subjects.
(3) B.Com. Degree Course:- Pass in the Pre-Degree Examination of this University or an examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto with Accountancy and any two of the following subjects: viz.(I) Commerce (ii) Commercial Geography (iii) Economics (iv) Life Insurance with Salesmanship (v) Banking and Secretarial Practice (vi) Business Communication and (vii) Office management, as optional subjects or pass in the Pre-Degree or equivalent examination with other optional subjects securing not less than 45% of the aggregate marks.
(4) B.P.E Degree Course: Pass in the Pre-Degree examination of this University or an examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto or a pass in the S.S.L.C. or equivalent examination with a certificate in Physical Education of at least two year’s duration from a recognised institution of Physical Education.
(5) B.L.I.Sc.Degree Course: (Library and Information Science) Graduation in any faculty, with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks.
